L’église Saint-Martin était une chapelle  dépendante du palais Monti Della Corte, construite aux XIVe et XVe siècles, la paroisse de l’époque était à l’église de Sainte-Euphémie, éloignée du centre-ville.

En 1598, l’évêque autorise la construction d’une nouvelle église paroissiale en remplacement de l’ancienne église devenue trop petite. Le terrain est acheté en 1601 et l’église est inaugurée en 1620.

 

The Saint-Martin church was a chapel dependent on the Monti Della Corte palace, built in the 14th and 15th centuries, the parish at the time was at the church of Saint-Euphemia, far from the city center.

In 1598, the bishop authorized the construction of a new parish church to replace the old church which had become too small. The land was purchased in 1601 and the church was inaugurated in 1620.
