L’église Saint-Martin de Vic est une église romane du XIe siècle. Elle dépendait de l’abbaye bénédictine de Déols. Au XIIe siècle furent ajoutées des fresques. Recouvertes de badigeon, elle furent redécouvertes par l’abbé Jean-Baptiste Périgaud, curé de la paroisse, en 1849, et elles furent classées Monument historique en 1850 grâce à l’intervention de George Sand. Parmi les fresques, nous trouvons dans la nef une représentation de la charité de saint Martin. Saint Martin y est représenté à cheval, vêtu de rouge, brandissant son épée vers l’avant, sous le coup du cheval. Le mendiant est à moitié effacé, mais il tient le manteau et porte une béquille.

Saint-Martin de Vic is an 11th-century Romanesque church. It belonged to the Benedictine abbey of Déols. Frescoes were added in the 12th century. Covered in whitewash, they were rediscovered by Abbé Jean-Baptiste Périgaud, the parish priest, in 1849, and were classified as a Historic Monument in 1850 thanks to the intervention of George Sand. One of the frescoes in the nave depicts the charity of Saint Martin. Saint Martin is shown on horseback, dressed in red, brandishing his sword forward, under the blow of the horse. The beggar is half effaced, but he is holding the cloak and carrying a crutch.
