Le prieuré est fondé au VIe siècle fondé sous l’évêque Probien. Dépendant de l’abbaye de Marmoutiers, c’était un prieuré bénédictin qui a été uni au petit séminaire de Bourges en 1742. La chapelle a été transformée en grange au XIXe siècle. L’église est le seul élément subsistant de cet ancien prieuré, dont la charpente à chevron du XVe siècle est la plus ancienne de Bourges.

The priory was founded in the 6th century under the bishop Probien. Dependent on the abbey of Marmoutiers, it was a Benedictine priory which was united with the minor seminary of Bourges in 1742. The chapel was transformed into a barn in the 19th century. The church is the only remaining element of this former priory, whose 15th-century herringbone roof structure is the oldest in Bourges.
