L’église Saint-Martin de Carbay a été construite en 1865 à l’emplacement d’un ancien prieuré du XIe siècle dans le style néo-gothique.  C’est une église en croix-latine qui s’ouvre par un clocher-porche. Elle a une nef unique avec un chœur en à une travée et une abside à trois pans. Le maître-autel conserve un bas-relief figurant l’ordination de saint Martin par saint Hilaire, réalisé par le sculpteur nantais Pierre Thauby en pierre de Chauvigny.

The church of Saint-Martin de Carbay was built in 1865 on the site of a former 11th-century priory in the neo-Gothic style. It is a Latin cross church with a bell tower-porch. It has a single nave with a single-bay chancel and a three-sided apse. The high altar features a bas-relief depicting the ordination of Saint Martin by Saint Hilaire, created by the Nantes sculptor Pierre Thauby in Chauvigny stone.
