Fondé au XIe siècle, sous la dépendance de l’abbaye Saint-Julien de Tours. Il subsiste aujourd’hui deux bâtiments conventuels à usage domestiques. L’un, qui conserve des peintures murales du XIVe ou XVe siècle sert d’habitation, et l’autre, datant du XIIe siècle, avec une charpente du XIVe ou XVe siècle, a été transformé en écurie-grange. L’actuelle église Saint-Martin de Chanceaux-sur-Choisille est l’ancienne église du prieuré. Il est inscrit sur la liste des monuments historiques le 6 février 1998.

Founded in the 11th century as a dependency of the abbey of Saint-Julien de Tours. Today, two conventual buildings remain for domestic use. One, which retains wall paintings from the 14th or 15th century, is used as a dwelling, and the other, dating from the 12th century, with a 14th or 15th century roof structure, has been transformed into a stable-barn. The current Saint-Martin de Chanceaux-sur-Choisille church is the former church of the priory. It was registered on the list of historic monuments on 6 February 1998.
