Fondée au XIe siècle (seul le mur nord et quatre piliers de la nef sont encore visibles) l’église Saint-Martin de Villenave-d’Ornon est de style roman au plan en croix-latine d’orientation est-ouest. Elle a une façade devancée d’un narthex et son abside est semi-circulaire, voûtée en cul-de-four. Fin XIIe siècle et début XIIIe siècle son chevet est reconstruit. Sa tour quant à elle date du XVIIe siècle.

 L’abside de l’église est classée aux Monuments Historique par arrêté du 12 octobre 1920. Le reste de l’édifice est inscrit par arrêté du 21 décembre 1925. PA00083863.

Founded in the 11th century (only the north wall and four pillars of the nave are still visible), the church of Saint-Martin de Villenave-d’Ornon is Romanesque in the form of a Latin cross, oriented east-west. It has a façade with a narthex and its apse is semi-circular, vaulted in cul-de-four. At the end of the 12th century and beginning of the 13th century, its chevet was rebuilt. Its tower dates from the 17th century.

The apse of the church is listed as a Historic Monument by decree of 12 October 1920. The rest of the building was listed by decree on 21 December 1925. PA00083863.
