L’actuelle église de Sirmione est consacrée à Santa Maria Maggiore. Elle est mentionnée dès le VIIIe siècle sous la titulature de Saint-Martin (San Martino in Castro). L’actuelle église est construite au XVe siècle et réutilise d’anciennes parties de l’église Saint-Martin).

Elle ne conserve aujourd’hui aucun souvenir de ce patronage martinien.

The present-day church of Sirmione is dedicated to Santa Maria Maggiore. It was first mentioned in the 8th century under the title of Saint Martin (San Martino in Castro). The current church was built in the 15th century, reusing parts of the former church of San Martino.)
