L’église Saint-Vincent de La Chartre-sur-le-Loir conserve un vitrail de saint Martin, réalisé par JP Florence & Cie, à Tours, en 1901. Sans doute très inspiré par le tableau de Victor Schnetz, conservé dans la cathédrale de Tours, il représente une charité de saint Martin dans laquelle Martin est représenté en soldat, nimbé et casqué, en armure et à cheval, en train de couper son manteau avec son épée. Le mendiant est à demi-nu, tenant un bâton à la main gauche, avec un pagne vert et des chaussures rouges. Le paysage est enneigé et, en arrière-plan, nous distinguons les murailles d’Amiens. Au pied du vitrail, nous avons un cartouche dans lequel est inscrit : « SCE MARTINE OPN ».

The church of Saint-Vincent in La Chartre-sur-le-Loir contains a stained glass window depicting Saint Martin, made by JP Florence & Cie in Tours in 1901. Probably inspired by the painting by Victor Schnetz in Tours Cathedral, it depicts a charity of Saint Martin in which Martin is shown as a soldier, nimbed and helmeted, in armour and on horseback, cutting off his cloak with his sword. The beggar is half-naked, holding a staff in his left hand, wearing a green loincloth and red shoes. The landscape is covered in snow and, in the background, we can make out the walls of Amiens. At the foot of the window is a cartouche inscribed « SCE MARTINE OPN ».
