Dans la crypte de la basilique Saint Martin de Tours, le tombeau du saint attire les pèlerins. Les murets du  caveau ont été enfermés dans un socle ajouré surmonté d’un couronnement en forme de dalles de sarcophage porté par dix colonnes de marbre. Une partie des reliques de saint Martin rapportée de la cathédrale en 1941 repose dans des reliquaires, dont l’un au-dessus du tombeau.

Après la destruction de l’ancienne basilique, le tombeau fut redécouvert  en 1860 et reconstruit en 1887. Il se trouve dans une crypte de la basilique Saint Martin . il est de propriété publique et non protégé.

 

In the crypt of the Basilica of Saint Martin in Tours, the tomb of the saint attracts pilgrims. The walls of the vault have been enclosed in an openwork base surmounted by a crown in the form of sarcophagus slabs supported by ten marble columns. Some of the relics of St. Martin brought from the cathedral in 1941 are kept in reliquaries, one of which is above the tomb.

After the destruction of the old basilica, the tomb was rediscovered in 1860 and rebuilt in 1887. It is located in a crypt of the Basilica of Saint Martin. It is publicly owned and not protected.
