Cette statue est en fonte et date de 1935. Elle a à ses pieds une borne du chemin de saint Martin de Candes-Saint-Martin à Tours.

Saint Martin est représenté en évêque, mitré, avec la main droite pointant l’index vers le ciel, tenant la crosse de la main gauche, et le pied droit en avant sur une roche.

La ville de Lerné a une autre statue de saint Martin dans l’ancien presbytère et l’église du village lui est dédiée.

This statue is in cast iron and dates from 1935. It has at its feet a milestone of the Saint Martin’s Way from Candes-Saint-Martin to Tours.

Saint Martin is represented as a bishop, mitred, with his right hand pointing the index finger to the sky, holding the crosier with his left hand, and his right foot forward on a rock.

The town of Lerné has another statue of Saint Martin in the old presbytery and the village church is dedicated to him.
