L’église Saint-Martin de Saint-Martin-du-Lac, dans le Brionnais, en Saône-et-Loire, est construite à partir de la fin du XIe siècle, dans le style roman. Elle est composée d’une nef qui se termine par le chœur en une travée voûtée en berceau. Le clocher latéral est percé de baies géminées. L’église n’a pas beaucoup de mobilier et de décoration, hormis les chapiteaux ornés. Il y a, tout de même, un vitrail du XIXe siècle figurant une charité de saint Martin, sur lequel ce dernier est représenté en soldat romain, casqué et nimbé, en train de couper son manteau rouge avec son épée. Il est à cheval et le mendiant est a un genou à terre, est vêtu de violet, et prend le manteau dans ses mains. La muraille d’Amiens figure en arrière-plan.

The Saint-Martin church in Saint-Martin-du-Lac, in the Brionnais, in Saône-et-Loire, was built from the end of the 11th century, in the Romanesque style. It is composed of a nave which ends in the choir in a barrel-vaulted bay. The side bell tower is pierced with twin bays. The church does not have much furniture and decoration, apart from the ornate capitals. There is, all the same, a 19th century stained glass window depicting a charity of Saint Martin, on which the latter is represented as a Roman soldier, helmeted and haloed, cutting his red coat with his sword. He is on horseback and the beggar is on one knee, dressed in purple, and takes the cloak in his hands. The wall of Amiens is in the background.
