L’actuelle église Saint-Martin de Romilly-sur-Seine a été construite en 1903 dans une imitation du style gothique du XIIIe siècle. Inaugurée en 1905, elle a pris la place d’une église du XVIe siècle.
Les vitraux reprennent ceux de l’église du XIXe siècle, réalisés par l’atelier J. Janin en 1885. De nouveaux vitraux ont été commandés par l’association Des vitraux pour Romilly, à la suite d’un appel à concours lancé en 2011, et financés par souscription, au peintre-verrier Joël Mône, et réalisés par l’atelier lyonnais Vitrail Saint-Georges.
Les fresques du narthex sont l’œuvre de Dom Angélico Surchamp, et la croix du chœur est peinte par Frères Yves, tous les deux moines de La Pierre qui Vire.
The current Saint-Martin de Romilly-sur-Seine church was built in 1903 in an imitation of the Gothic style of the 13th century. Inaugurated in 1905, it took the place of a 16th century church.
