La première mention de l’église Saint-Martin de Montjavoult est son don à l’abbaye de Saint-Denis en 1157. Mais il reste, dans le bas-côté nord, les traces d’une église plus ancienne, du XIe siècle, et la base du clocher du XIIe siècle. L’église est construite au sommet d’une butte. Le grand portail est bâti vers 1565, à peu près contemporain du clocher.

La nef et ses collatéraux sont construits dans le style gothique flamboyant. Le reste de l’église, plus modeste, date de la fin du XV et du début du XVIe siècle.

The first mention of the church of Saint-Martin de Montjavoult is its donation to the abbey of Saint-Denis in 1157. However, traces of an earlier church, dating from the 11th century, and the base of the 12th century bell tower remain in the north aisle. The church is built on top of a hill. The large portal was built around 1565, at about the same time as the bell tower.

The nave and its side aisles are built in the flamboyant Gothic style. The rest of the church, more modest, dates from the end of the 15th and beginning of the 16th century.

The church of Saint-Martin was listed as a historical monument on 22 October 1913. PA00114757
