L’église Saint-Martin du Tiercent est construite au XIIe siècle, sans doute à l’initiative des seigneurs locaux car elle est proche du château et loin du bourg. Le gros œuvre de la nef date de l’époque romane. Le porche sud et la chapelle seigneuriale au nord sont des XVe-XVIe siècles. Le chœur est remanié au XVIIIe siècle.

The church of Saint-Martin du Tiercent was built in the 12th century, probably on the initiative of the local lords because it is close to the castle and far from the town. The main structure of the nave dates from the Romanesque period. The south porch and the lordly chapel to the north date from the 15th-16th centuries. The choir was remodelled in the 18th century.
