L’église Saint-Martin d’Harbonnières est construite en 1104, dépendant du prieuré de Lihons-en-Santerre pour une moitié, et l’autre moitié de l’abbaye de Saint-Fuscien et du prieuré de Mericourt-sur-Somme.
L’actuelle église est construite dans la première moitié du XVIe siècle sous le patronage des seigneur d’Harbonnières, la famille de Lorraine. Elle est édifiée en craie dans le style gothique flamboyant pour la nef et Renaissance pour le chœur, sur un plan en croix-latine. Le chœur a une abside polygonale.
Des aménagements sont réalisés au XVIIe siècle, notamment sur la façade occidentale, construite dansle style classique. Le clocher, situé au-dessus de la croisée des transepts, est bâti en 1693.
L’église est ravagée par un incendie en 1782, détruisant les voûtes de la nef, qui ont été refaites en plâtre. La structure du clocher est allégée en 1840.
L’église Saint-Martin conserve, sur la chaire en bois sculpté, datée de 1680, une représentation de saint Martin renversant les idoles, avec saint Jean-Baptiste et les quatre Évangélistes. Cette chaire est classée aux Monuments historiques le 4 janvier 1915.

The church of Saint-Martin d’Harbonnières was built in 1104, half of it belonging to the priory of Lihons-en-Santerre, the other half to the abbey of Saint-Fuscien and the priory of Mericourt-sur-Somme.
The present church was built in the first half of the 16th century under the patronage of the lords of Harbonnières, the Lorraine family. It was built in chalk in the flamboyant Gothic style for the nave and Renaissance for the choir, on a Latin cross plan. The choir has a polygonal apse.
Some alterations were made in the 17th century, notably on the western façade, built in the classical style. The bell tower, located above the transepts, was built in 1693.
The church was ravaged by fire in 1782, destroying the vaults of the nave, which were redone in plaster. The structure of the bell tower was lightened in 1840.
The church of Saint Martin has a carved wooden pulpit dated 1680 with a representation of Saint Martin overthrowing the idols, with Saint John the Baptist and the four Evangelists. The pulpit was listed as a historical monument on 4 January 1915.
