L’église Saint-Martin de Feigneux est construite XIIe siècle sur un petit tertre. La tour lui sert à la fois de clocher et d’ouvrage de défense.

Les vestiges de la nef du premier quart du XIIe siècle sont visibles sur la façade. Le chœur primitif est remplacé en 1200 par un chœur à travée droite avec une abside à cinq pans.

Une chapelle et un bas-côté sont ajoutés au XVe siècle au nord de la travée droit du chœur et de la nef.

Une autre chapelle est ajoutée au sud, au XVIe siècle. C’est à cette époque que le dispositif défensif est complété par la tour. Cela a sans doute été influencé par le contexte des guerres de Religion.

L’église Saint-Martin conserve un tableau figurant une charité, dans lequel saint Martin est représenté en soldat casqué qui coupe son manteau rouge avec son épée, alors que le mendiant est à demi-nu, à cloche-pied.

The church of Saint-Martin de Feigneux was built in the 12th century on a small mound. The tower serves both as a bell tower and as a defensive structure.

The remains of the nave from the first quarter of the 12th century are visible on the façade. The original choir was replaced in 1200 by a straight-bay choir with a five-sided apse.

A chapel and a side aisle were added in the 15th century to the north of the right-hand bay of the choir and the nave.

Another chapel was added to the south in the 16th century. It was at this time that the defensive system was completed with the tower. This was probably influenced by the context of the Wars of Religion.

The church of St Martin has a painting of a charity, in which St Martin is depicted as a helmeted soldier cutting off his red cloak with his sword, while the beggar is half-naked and hobbling.
