Il y avait deux églises à Viplaix au XIe siècle, une dédiée à saint Pierre et l’autre à saint Martin, mais aucune des deux ne subsiste aujourd’hui. L’église actuelle a été construite en 1936, dans le style néo-gothique avec des vitraux art déco, en gardant tout de même le clocher du XIVe siècle de l’ancienne église.

There were two churches in Viplaix in the 11th century, one dedicated to St Peter and the other to St Martin, neither of which survives today. The present church was built in 1936, in the neo-gothic style with art deco stained glass windows, although the 14th century bell tower of the old church remains.
