L’église Saint-Martin de Vertus, au cœur du village de Blanc-Coteaux, est construite sur pilotis au pied d’une source, à un endroit où devait se tenir un lieu de culte gaulois.

Les parties les plus anciennes de l’église datent du XIe siècle. Le chevet est reconstruit en 1852.

La ville de Vertus fusionne avec les communes de Gionges, Oger et Voipreux le 1er janvier 2018 pour former la nouvelle ville de Blancs-Coteaux.

The church of Saint-Martin de Vertus, in the heart of the village of Blanc-Coteaux, is built on stilts at the foot of a spring, on a site where a Gallic place of worship must have stood.

The oldest parts of the church date from the 11th century. The chevet was rebuilt in 1852.

The town of Vertus merged with the communes of Gionges, Oger and Voipreux on 1 January 2018 to form the new town of Blancs-Coteaux.
