L’église Saint-Martin de Purgerot est construite au XIIe siècle. Elle est mentionnée en 1148 dans une charte du cartulaire de l’abbaye de Cherlieu. L’église est construite sur un plan en croix-latine par l’ajout de deux chapelles au XVIe siècle, avec l’ajout de deux contreforts. Le portail de l’église date du XVIIe siècle.

The church of Saint-Martin de Purgerot was built in the 12th century. It is mentioned in 1148 in a charter of the cartulary of the abbey of Cherlieu. The church was built on a Latin cross plan with the addition of two chapels in the 16th century and two buttresses. The church portal dates from the 17th century.
