Église Saint-Martin de Bourriot, Bourriot-Bergonce

L’église Saint-Martin de Bourriot est érigée au XIIIe siècle par les hospitaliers de Saint-Jean de Jérusalem. Le porche et la sacristie datent du XVIIIe siècle et la porte date de 1748. L’ensemble des baies est remanié au XIXe siècle.

L’église abrite un vitrail du XIXe siècle, signé de Louis-Victor Gesta, de Toulouse, figurant saint Martin, en évêque, nimbé et mitré, portant sa crosse le long du bras gauche et tenant un livre, et bénissant de la main droite.

The church of Saint-Martin de Bourriot was built in the 13th century by the Hospitallers of St John of Jerusalem. The porch and sacristy date from the 18th century and the door from 1748. All the bays were remodelled in the 19th century.

The church features a 19th-century stained glass window by Louis-Victor Gesta of Toulouse, depicting Saint Martin as a bishop, nimbed and mitred, carrying his crozier on his left arm, holding a book and blessing with his right hand.
