Ancien prieuré de l’abbaye bénédictine de Menat, le lieu garde dans sa tradition le passage de saint Martin sur la route romaine pour se rendre à Clermont-Ferrand. C’est un édifice roman dans le style auvergnat, mais le tympan, sur la façade, est de style bourguignon, avec une représentation de la Cène. Une tourelle d’escalier permet d’accéder au clocher, le bras sud du transept est surélevé pour abriter une chambre horloge. Il y avait un porche, mais il a été détruit en 1810 et une chapelle à l’extrémité du bras nord du transept a été reconstruit en 1851.

A former priory of the Benedictine abbey of Menat, the place keeps in its tradition the passage of Saint Martin on the Roman road to Clermont-Ferrand. It is a Romanesque building in the Auvergne style, but the tympanum on the façade is in the Burgundian style, with a representation of the Last Supper. A stair turret gives access to the bell tower, the south arm of the transept is raised to house a clock room. There was a porch, but it was destroyed in 1810 and a chapel at the end of the north arm of the transept was rebuilt in 1851.

The building was listed as a Monument Historique in 1911. PA00092990
