L’église Saint-Martin de Cléry-sur-Somme est construite au XVe siècle. Elle a subit de nombreux aménagements au XVIIIe siècle et au XIXe siècle. Mais cette église est entièrement détruit durant la Première Guerre mondiale. Elle est reconstruite durant l’entre-deux-guerres par l’architecte Jacques Debat-Ponsant, sur un plan basilical.

Jacques Debat-Ponsant a aussi dessiné le mobilier de l’église, sont une statue de saint Martin à cheval, en chêne ciré, réalisé par l’entreprise parisienne « La Statue Religieuse ». Une autre statue, figurant la Charité de saint Martin, est sculptée en bois par Charles Desvergnes.

The church of Saint-Martin in Cléry-sur-Somme was built in the 15th century. It underwent numerous alterations in the 18th and 19th centuries. But this church was completely destroyed during the First World War. It was rebuilt during the inter-war period by the architect Jacques Debat-Ponsant, on a basilica plan.

Jacques Debat-Ponsant also designed the furniture for the church, including a statue of Saint Martin on horseback, in waxed oak, made by the Parisian company « La Statue Religieuse ». Another statue, representing the Charity of Saint Martin, was sculpted in wood by Charles Desvergnes.
