Une première église Saint-Martin est construite à Bièvres au XIVe siècle, mais elle a été détruite durant la Guerre de Cent Ans. Elle est reconstruite au XVIe siècle et dédicacée à saint Martin, saint Laurent, saint Priest et saint Clément de Rome le 11 juillet 1536 par René du Bellay, évêque du Mans. La façade est modifiée à la fin du XIXe siècle avec un porche avancé. Le chœur est redécoré en 1886.

L’église Saint-Martin conserve un vitrail figurant saint Martin, datant de la fin du XIXe siècle.

L’église Saint-Martin de Bièvres est citée par Victor Hugo dans le poème Dans l’église de * , publié dans le recueil Les Chants du crépuscule, en 1836.

It was rebuilt in the 16th century and dedicated to Saint Martin, Saint Laurent, Saint Priest and Saint Clement of Rome on July 11, 1536 by René du Bellay, Bishop of Le Mans. The facade was modified at the end of the 19th century with an advanced porch. The choir was redecorated in 1886.
