Le vitrail se trouve dans la nef de l’église Saint-Vincent d’Orbigny, il figure une charité de saint Martin. Saint Martin est représenté en cavalier romain nimbé, il coupe son manteau pour en donner une partie à un pauvre. Le pauvre se tient à saint Martin, il est dans une position de demande et de remerciement. La béquille du pauvre est par terre. Derrière saint Martin, on distingue l’enceinte de la ville d’Amiens.

En dessous de la scène est inscrit en lettres noires su fond rouge : « CHARITE DE St MARTIN ».

 

The stained glass window in the nave of the church of Saint Vincent d’Orbigny depicts the charity of Saint Martin. Saint Martin is depicted as a nimbed Roman cavalryman, cutting off his cloak to give part of it to a poor man. The poor man is holding on to Saint Martin, in a position of request and thanks. The poor man’s crutch is on the ground. Behind Saint Martin, the city walls of Amiens can be seen.

Below the scene is written in black letters on a red background: « CHARITY OF ST MARTIN ».
