C’est un vitrail situé dans la nef de l’église Sainte-Geneviève de Luynes. Il a été réalisé par Lucien-Léopold Lobien à Tours en 1875. La charité se trouve dans un médaillon au registre inférieur d’un vitrail présentant saint Roch, sainte Barbe, saint Venant et saint Gilles.

Saint Martin est représenté en cavalier romain nimbé, il est sur un cheval blanc et partage en deux son manteau. Un pauvre assis sur une pierre tend la main vers saint Martin, pour recevoir le manteau. Derrière le pauvre, on voit la porte d’Amiens. La scène est sur fond bleu et elle est entourée d’un cercle rouge. En-dessous de la scène est écrit SANCTUS MARTINUS.

L’église abrite également une statue de saint Martin évêque. La statue se trouve à côté de l’autel de l’église Sainte-Geneviève de Luynes. Saint Martin est représenté en archevêque, mitré, il tient la crosse de l’évêque dans la main gauche et fait un signe de bénédiction de la main droite. La statue est colorée dans les tons rose clair. Sur le socle est écrit SAINT MARTIN.

This is a stained glass window located in the nave of the church of Sainte-Geneviève in Luynes. It was made by Lucien-Léopold Lobien in Tours in 1875. The charity is in a medallion in the lower register of a stained glass window showing Saint Roch, Saint Barbara, Saint Venant and Saint Gilles.

Saint Martin is depicted as a Roman horseman wearing a nimbus, riding a white horse and dividing his cloak in two. A poor man sitting on a stone reaches out to Saint Martin to receive the cloak. Behind the poor man is the gateway to Amiens. The scene has a blue background and is surrounded by a red circle. Below the scene is written SANCTUS MARTINUS.

The church also houses a statue of St Martin the bishop. The statue is located next to the altar of the church of Sainte-Geneviève de Luynes. Saint Martin is represented as an archbishop, mitred, holding the bishop’s crook in his left hand and making a sign of blessing with his right hand. The statue is coloured in light pink tones. On the base is written SAINT MARTIN.
