L’église Saint-Martin de Nonancourt semble avoir une première construction au VIIe ou au VIIIe siècle. Elle n’est pourtant mentionnée pour la première fois que dans une charte du XIIe siècle. La plus ancienne partie de l’édifice actuelle et la tour-clocher construite en 1204. En grande partie détruite durant la guerre de Cent ans, les bas-côtés et le chœur sont reconstruits au XVIe siècle.

L’église dépend du diocèse de Chartres, au contraire des autres paroisses de l’Eure, qui dépendent du diocèse d’Évreux.

L’édifice est classé aux Monuments historiques en 1975 : PA00099502

The Saint-Martin de Nonancourt church seems to have been first built in the 7th or 8th century. However, it is only mentioned for the first time in a 12th century charter. The oldest part of the current building and the bell tower built in 1204. Largely destroyed during the Hundred Years War, the aisles and the choir were rebuilt in the 16th century.
The church depends on the diocese of Chartres, unlike the other parishes of Eure, which depend on the diocese of Évreux.
The building was classified as a Historic Monument in 1975 : PA00099502
