L’église Saint-Martin de Lognes est construite entre 1898 et 1903 pour remplacer celle édifiée à la fin du XVIIe siècle près du cimetière du village, trop éloignée du centre-bourg. Le terrain où l’église est construite a été offert en 1877 par le maire Édouard André, et la construction a été financée par Gaston Menier, alors maire de Lognes, futur député puis sénateur de Seine-et-Marne. Construite sur un plan en croix-latine, en pierre. Elle a été restaurée entre 1994 et 2000, avec un décor intérieur réalisé, suite à une commande publique de 1998 et un financement de la DRAC, par l’artiste Christophe Cuzin et l’atelier Duchemin. Notons celui de la chapelle Saint-Martin, qui figure un geste de Charité.

L’église abrite également une statue polychrome de saint Martin évêque datant du XVIe siècle et classée aux Monuments historiques en 1979. PM77000970

The Saint-Martin de Lognes church was built between 1898 and 1903 to replace the one built at the end of the 17th century near the village cemetery, which was too far from the town centre. The land where the church is built was offered in 1877 by the mayor Édouard André, and the construction was financed by Gaston Menier, then mayor of Lognes, future deputy and then senator of Seine-et-Marne. Built on a Latin cross plan, in stone. It was restored between 1994 and 2000, with interior decoration created, following a public order in 1998 and funding from the DRAC, by the artist Christophe Cuzin and the Duchemin workshop. Note that of the Saint-Martin chapel, which represents a gesture of Charity.

The church also houses a polychrome statue of Saint Martin Bishop dating from the 16th century and listed as a Historic Monument in 1979. PM77000970
