L’actuelle église Saint-Martin de Bruay-la-Buissière est construite à partir de 1523 à la place d’une ancienne église Saint-Martin. Le clocher, provenant de l’église primitive, date du XIIIe siècle. Une flèche y est élevée au XVIIe siècle. Elle est reconstruite à l’identique en 1991. L’église est construite sur un plan en croix-latine, dans le style gothique.

L’église est dédicacée en 2009 à Saint Éloi, en plus de la dédicace à saint Martin, afin de ne plus confondre avec l’église voisine de Saint-Martin de Bruay, dont les communes initiales forment la nouvelle commune de Bruay-la-Buissière.

The current Saint-Martin church in Bruay-la-Buissière was built from 1523 onwards in place of an earlier Saint-Martin church. The bell tower, which comes from the original church, dates from the 13th century. A spire was added in the 17th century. It was rebuilt identically in 1991. The church is built on a Latin cross plan in the Gothic style.

In 2009, the church was dedicated to Saint Eloi, in addition to the dedication to Saint Martin, so as not to be confused with the neighbouring church of Saint Martin de Bruay, whose original communes form the new commune of Bruay-la-Buissière.
