L’église Saint-Martin de Cournon d’Auvergne est construite entre le XIe et le XIIe siècle. Elle prend la place d’un ancien monastère mérovingien et d’une ancienne église carolingienne.

L’église a été restaurée au XVIIIe et au XIXe siècle. Un bas-relief gallo-romain représentant un personnage couché est retrouvé à me moment. Une dernière campagne de restauration a eu lieu en 2003.

The church of Saint-Martin in Cournon d’Auvergne was built between the 11th and 12th centuries. It takes the place of a former Merovingian monastery and a former Carolingian church.

The church was restored in the 18th and 19th centuries. A Gallo-Roman bas-relief representing a reclining figure was found at the time. A final restoration campaign took place in 2003.
