L’église Saint-Martin de Saint-Martin-des-Lais est construite dans une imitation du style roman entre 1741 et 1743, en lieu et place d’une ancienne église romane détruite lors d’un incendie en 1733. Avant cela, l’église paroissiale était la chapelle du château de Pierre Méritte, seigneur de Saint- Martin, qui servait d’église paroissiale.

Longtemps possession d’une famille, l’église est donnée en l’an 2000 à la commune de Saint-Martin-des-Lais.

The church of Saint-Martin in Saint-Martin-des-Lais was built in imitation of the Romanesque style between 1741 and 1743, in place of an earlier Romanesque church destroyed by fire in 1733. Before that, the parish church was the chapel of the castle of Pierre Méritte, Lord of Saint Martin, which served as the parish church.

The church was owned by one family for a long time, but in 2000 it was donated to the commune of Saint-Martin-des-Lais.
