L’ancienne église Saint-Martin d’Augy est construite au XIIe siècle mais a été détruite au milieu du XIXe siècle car sont état de délabrement la rendait dangereuse pour les paroissiens. Seul le portail roman a été conservé. L’église actuelle est construite en 1871 dans un style néo-byzantin, en briques de la tuilerie de Bomplein à Couzon.

C’est l’ancienne paroisse de la commune d’Augy qui a fusionné avec Saint-Léopardin en 1843.

L’église est classée aux Monuments historiques en 1960. PA00093277

The old church of Saint-Martin d’Augy was built in the 12th century but was destroyed in the middle of the 19th century because its dilapidated state made it dangerous for the parishioners. Only the Romanesque portal has been preserved. The present church was built in 1871 in a neo-Byzantine style, in bricks from the Bomplein tile factory in Couzon.

It is the former parish of the commune of Augy which merged with Saint-Léopardin in 1843.

The church was classified as a Historic Monument in 1960. PA00093277
