L’église Saint-Martin de Nassigny est établie au XIe siècle dans une ancienne villa gallo-romaine du Ve siècle, sans doute à l’emplacement du sanctuaire d’un culte païen, qui a été donnée en 694 par le roi Childebert III à l’abbaye de Saint-Denis.

L’édifice est construit en grès rose, pierre de Vallon de Sully. La nef est romane alors que les transept et le chevet sont modifiés en 1878, sur les plans de l’architecte M. Vianne.

La nef unique de 7 mètres de large est précédée d’un clocher-porche dont la toiture est en essente de châtaignier. Le chevet est plat avec une abside circulaire et deux absidioles au nord et au sud.

Des travaux sont réalisés entre 2014 et 2019.

The church of Saint-Martin de Nassigny was established in the 11th century in an ancient Gallo-Roman villa dating from the 5th century, probably on the site of a pagan cult shrine, which was donated in 694 by King Childebert III to the abbey of Saint-Denis.

The building is built of pink sandstone, Vallon de Sully stone. The nave is Romanesque while the transept and chevet were modified in 1878, according to the plans of the architect M. Vianne.

The single nave is 7 metres wide and preceded by a bell tower-porch with a chestnut wood roof. The chevet is flat with a circular apse and two apsidioles to the north and south.

Work will be carried out between 2014 and 2019.
