La « muraille Saint-Martin » (Baluardo San Martino) est située le long du côté nord des murailles de la ville de Lucques,  entre la Porte Sainte-Marie (Porta Santa Maria) et la Porte Saint-Jacques (Porta San Iacopo), à un kilomètre au nord de la cathédrale Saint-Martin. Elle a été érigée entre 1592 et 1595, par Ginese Bresciani afin de renforcer l’ensemble des remparts de la ville. 

Une tour semi-circulaire construite en 1521 est la seule partie subsistante d’un fort aux abords duquel la muraille a été construite. Il existait une plaque de marbre figurant saint Martin au sommet du fort, mais celui-ci a disparu.

The « Wall of Saint Martin » (Baluardo San Martino), is located along the north side of the city walls of Lucca, between the Porte Saint Mary (Porta Santa Maria) and the Porte Saint James (Porta San Iacopo), one kilometre north of the cathedral Saint-Martin. It was erected between 1592 and 1595, by Ginese Bresciani in order to reinforce the whole of the city walls.

A semi-circular tower built in 1521 is the only surviving part of a fort on the outskirts of which the wall was built. There was a marble plaque depicting Saint Martin at the top of the fort, but it has disappeared.
