L’église Saint-Martin de Trédion est construite en 1871. La tour et le clocher datent respectivement de 1891 et 1892.

La première trace martinienne remonte à 1106 lorsque les seigneurs de Largoët fondent un prieuré de Saint-Martin, en faveur des bénédictins de Marmoutier.

Ce prieuré est abandonné au XVIe siècle suite à l’union des moines aux prieurés de Saint-Nicolas de Ploërmel et Saint-Nicolas de Guer.

 

The church of Saint-Martin de Trédion was built in 1871. The tower and the bell tower date from 1891 and 1892 respectively.

The first trace of Martin dates back to 1106 when the lords of Largoët founded a priory of Saint-Martin, in favour of the Benedictines of Marmoutier.

This priory was abandoned in the 16th century when the monks joined the priories of Saint-Nicolas de Ploërmel and Saint-Nicolas de Guer.
