L’église Saint-Martin de Precenicco est construite entre 1624 et 1625 sur un territoire qui avait été contrôlé depuis 1220 par les Chevaliers Teutoniques et passé au patriarcat d’Aquilée en 1623. Rénovée au XVIIIe siècle, elle rejoint le diocèse de Gorizia en 1751, puis est rattachée à l’archidiocèse d’Udine en 1818.  Construite dans style baroque des Habsbourg, elle possède sur le fronton une fresque figurant une charité de saint Martin. Saint Martin y est représenté en soldat romain, à cheval, casqué, et le mendiant est devant la tête du cheval.

The church of Saint Martin in Precenicco was built between 1624 and 1625 on territory that had been controlled since 1220 by the Teutonic Knights and passed to the Patriarchate of Aquileia in 1623. Renovated in the 18th century, it became part of the diocese of Gorizia in 1751, before becoming part of the archdiocese of Udine in 1818. Built in the Habsburg Baroque style, its pediment features a fresco depicting the charity of Saint Martin. Saint Martin is depicted as a Roman soldier on horseback, wearing a helmet, and the beggar is standing in front of the horse’s head.
