L’ancienne chapelle Saint-Martin  est construite sur les ruines d’un édifice du XIe siècle, à 4 km de Saint-Georges-en-Couzan, près du hameau de Vial. Il en reste quelques vestiges. Elle aurait conservé les reliques de saint Martin et était l’objet d’un pèlerinage, qui ont été déposées dans l’église de Saint-Georges-en-Couzan. Près de la chapelle se trouve une statue de saint Martin évêque, barbu et mitré, dominant la vallée du Lignon. Objet de dévotion, les pèlerins y laissent leur chapelet ou des ex-voto.

The former Saint-Martin chapel was built on the ruins of an 11th-century building 4 km from Saint-Georges-en-Couzan, near the hamlet of Vial. A few remains remain. It is said to have preserved the relics of Saint Martin and was the object of a pilgrimage, which were deposited in the church of Saint-Georges-en-Couzan. Near the chapel is a statue of Saint Martin the bishop, bearded and mitred, overlooking the Lignon valley. An object of devotion, pilgrims leave their rosary beads or ex-voto offerings here.
